The Junior Galway Film Fleadh is committed to delivering a Festival that is accessible to everyone and it takes great care to ensure that our programme and overall festival experience are delivered in a dignified manner. We also aim to offer a programme and service that is integrated, allowing all an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from the festival.

Our after school programme, shorts programmes and Saturday films are bookable via the festival website and also directly from our screening venue, The Pálás cinema or 091 394 800.


Every reasonable effort is made to ensure that all venues are fully accessible to people with disabilities.

Screenings venue: The Pálás Cinema, Lower Merchants Road, Galway – all screenings take place here

All screens in the cinema, the bar and restaurant are accessible for wheelchair users. Enter Pálás through the main entrance at the box office and you will find the lift on this level, behind the café, which will bring you to all floors. Please ask a member of staff for directions.

The main accessible toilet is at level -2 (underneath screen 1, accessible via the lift). There is also an accessible toilet just outside the lift to screen 2.

Workshop venue: The Town Hall Theatre, Courthouse Square, Galway

Regrettably neither of the two spaces used in this venue, the Dressing Rooms or The Studio are wheelchair accessible.

Assistive Listening

In our screening venue, wireless headsets are available for people who are hard of hearing.
